This psycho- educational program helps couples understand each other better, deal with feelings together, reach towards each other, and be responsive in more loving and positive ways. At the Hold Me Tight® Workshop, we share the highlights of Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you and your partner understand the new science of love and how it applies to your relationship. You will learn about patterns in your relationship that you can change so you can get along better and grow closer. You will see video demonstrations of real-life couples engaging in helpful conversations, and most importantly you will have the opportunity to have private, guided conversations and dialogues with your partner. There will be support available to you from myself and my team of EFT therapists if you need it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is an opportunity to learn about yourself and your partner and experience many conversations that can bring you more acceptance and closeness in your relationship. The Weekend at the Cottage Clinic is typically limited to 15 Couples Max. Lodging is not included. Please see the recommended accommodations and dining options here: https://www.holdmetightworkshops.com/accommodations.html This workshop is suitable for all committed couples. It can be helpful to couples that are doing well and wanting relationship enrichment, couples who are struggling to understand and change negative patterns, as well as professionals who want to learn more about the new science of love based on about 40 years of research. The facility is adequate for physically disabled persons; if there is concern about whether the workshop can accomodate a disability or personal challenge that you may have, please reach out to me directly. Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy has been shown through research to be the most effective approach to helping couples:
What to Expect during the Program: On the first morning, Dr. Diana Weiss-Wisdom will give an introduction to attachment theory and the neuroscience of love; this will include sharing scientific research that supports the program over the weekend. There will be a slide presentations intermingled with video demonstrations, short and longer that help drive home the lessons of the program. Couples will have the opportunity to do seven structured exercises (in private, not in front of the group). during the Hold Me Tight® Workshop. Therapists will be available to assist you with the exercises if needed. The exercises (conversations with your partner) all build on one another; essentially, they are the building blocks of the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Love Map, that has been shown through research to help reduce marital distress and increase satisfaction in many couples over the long term. It's not just a dry program; some of the videos are fun as they demonstrate what we are teaching. We have some group discussion but no one is "called on" and group participation is completely voluntary. In our workshop, you will learn what is at the root of most conflicts between you and your partner, and how to change those moments through a proven method that all couples can do. We have therapists available to assist during the private exercises portion of the program. Having said that, the Workbook is a manual for this psycho-educational workshop and some couples prefer to work independently. Therapists are available purely to assist couples with the structured exercises. This program is not the same as therapy. Over 1000 Couples Have Purchased and Attended this Workshop - feedback about the experience and lasting effect has been consistently positive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mailing address if you choose to pay by check: Diana Weiss-Wisdom, PO Box 3101, Rancho Santa Fe, Ca. 92067 Zelle Information: www.zellepay.com Zelle handle: (619) 405-4845 ____________________________________________________________ The fee includes a workbook for each person, snacks, and beverages throughout the day. Please read the cancellation policy below. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This workshop is not geared toward people of any particular profession; it is for all couples who are wanting to grow and deepen their connection. For some professionals (mental health, some psychologists, nurses, and dentists), CE's may be available through R. Cassidy Seminars. Please check directly to see if your professional license is approved. There have been some changes with the approval for R. Cassidy Seminars so it is essential that you check with your particular state and licensing board to make sure you are covered. They currently cover Nurses and Dentists in California, and psychologists licensed in New York. If you are an MFT, Social Worker, or Licensed Counselor, or other mental health professional please double check with your licensed board to see if they accept R. Cassidy as a CE Provider. It recently came to my attention that R. Cassidy is no longer able to offer Psychologists or mental health professionals in California CE's at this time. The program is eligible for 12 CE's if your professional license authorizes CE's through R. Cassidy Seminars. Here is the link for CE's: www.academeca.com/CEUReg/SeminarInfo.aspx?seminarId=4465 Evaluations and Certificates are available by email and online following course completion at www.ceuregistration.com Professionals who attend with their partner, will learn the latest research about adult love relationships and how to keep them healthy and long lasting. This can help therapists in their own personal relationships, their relationships with their clients, as well as helping their clients with their primary love relationships. If you are a mental health professional, this workshop is not a replacement or subsitute for obtaining training to become proficient in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. It is more like an introductory course, that teaches the EFT Map. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Learning Objectives for the purposes of those attending with their partner and wanting CE's www.academeca.com/CEUReg/SeminarInfo.aspx?seminarId=4465
